Milton Glaser is one of the preeminent contemporary American graphic designers. He studied art at New York's Cooper Union and then in Italy, thanks to a Fulbright scholarship. In 1954, he and fellow designer Seymour Chwast founded the influential Push Pin Studio, where he served as president until 1974, when he opened his own studio. Glaser co-founded New York Magazine in 1968, designed typography, restaurant decoration, supermarket installations, was co-chairman of the Aspen Design Conference and also taught for a year at the School of Visual Arts in New York. These colorful, alluring posters, largely for musical and cultural events, represent a wide array of his talent, from the fanciful to the stately. Titles available upon request.
